Make Self-Care a Priority
In today’s busy world, it’s easy to get caught up worrying about everything on your plate – your job, school, your social life – and more often than not, we forget to worry about ourselves. By adding small acts of self-care into your daily routine, you can immensely improve your mental health and lessen the effects of stress, (and get ahead of aging!). There are so many different forms of self-care such as practicing yoga, meditating, journaling, etc. Find an activity best suited for you and try to make time for it as often as possible.
Become a Better Planner
Perhaps you’re a Type A organization freak who’s already mastered this skill, but if not, start planning! Planning out your days in advance helps to keep you on track to accomplish tasks, and organization, in general, is a great skill to have. You don’t have to have things planned out weeks in advance (not trying to add more stress here!). Just taking time at night to make a plan for the next day is a HUGE help!
Write Down Your Goals
This may sound simple and cliche, but writing down your goals often will actually increase the probability of you achieving them! A recent psychological study found that people who write down their goals regularly are 42% more likely to accomplish them. This is because writing them down and seeing them on paper allows you to visualize them. This leads to increased motivation, improved focus, and also reduces stress levels.
Doing these three little, but mighty, tactics will help you become a better version of yourself, which should always be the goal. If you keep investing in yourself, soon enough you’ll start to see improvements in all areas of your life. Go chase those goals and make 2021 your best year ever!
